Today is pie day! The only things I have on my list today is to make some pumpkin pies and run a few errands. It's been raining non-stop for the past three days...so I'm looking forward to getting out of the house for a bit. It's also a perfect day for a house filled with the smell of pumpkin spices!
Want a quick easy project to add a little something special to your holiday table? In less then 10 minutes I just threw together some quick and festive napkin rings for our Thanksgiving feast! Just simply hot glue some felt or silk leaves onto a small wisteria wreath. Add a button or two and there you have it.
This is our Tom the Turkey. We created him as a family project three or four years ago. It looks like next year we'll have to give him a make over but every year I dust him off and give him a place of honor. Normally we randomly place Tom's feathers in his back side and let him be. This year we decided to use a feather a day the week leading up to Thanksgiving. At dinner we each take a turn sharing something we thank God for in our lives...then gentle place our feather in the old bird. It's definitely a tradition in the making. What kind of Thanksgiving traditions do you all have?
Hope you all are enjoying family and friends this week!
